Holiday Fun!





The red cups are back at Starbucks and the Holiday season is upon us! I absolutely love baking in my spare time and making fun desserts for my loved ones. With Thanksgiving only 2 weeks away and Christmas less than 7 weeks away, I decided to share a fun dessert recipe that you can take to your next event. Keep on reading to find out how to create a simple yet fun dessert called "Cupcake Cones".

1. Lay out your preferred cones on a stable and flat surface. 
I chose colored cones and I stood them up in cupcake trays for stability. 


 
2. Fill your cones about half way with your favorite cake batter. 
My entire box of cake mix created approximately 12 cupcake cones.

Secret Tip: I always add a very tiny amount of whole milk to my cake batter. This makes the cake turn out moist and tastes delicious!

3. Once you’ve poured the cake batter into your cones follow the instructions on the back of the cake mix and bake away!



4. After removing the cupcake cones from the oven, allow them to cool down for 1-2 hours.
  I waited 45 minutes and my toppings started to melt off. 
 With the cakes being inside the cones be a bit more patient for the heat to escape.

Take a look on the inside!





5. Once the cake has cooled off, add your whip cream & toppings & viola!! You are now a master chef at baking cupcake cones!
